kidrobot MUNNY & DUNNY
The release of the Kidrobot Munny in 2004 and the Dunny in 2003 marked a turning point in the world of designer toys — providing artists with blank canvases that invited limitless creativity. Both figures quickly became iconic platforms within the scene, and they played a huge role in shaping my own path as a toy customizer. Their simplicity and versatility gave me the opportunity to bring my aesthetic to life in three dimensions, and they remain some of my most important and recognizable custom works.
My connection with Kidrobot grew beyond the studio, leading to appearances and live custom sessions around the world — including New York Comic Con in 2012, where I partnered with Kidrobot to showcase my process and creations to a global audience. These opportunities not only allowed me to engage directly with collectors and fans, but also underscored the role of the Munny and Dunny as cultural icons within the designer toy community. To this day, my custom Munnys and Dunnys stand as a testament to both the history of Kidrobot and the evolution of my craft.
